Cultivated plants moreover the three elements of azotes, phosphor and potassium
they also need sulfur. Actually, the requirement of a great numbers of cultivated
productions to sulfur is not less than their necessity to phosphor so, sulfur
is considered as the forth fertilizer nourishing material.
The purpose of this project technical and economical evaluation
and submitting a method that by using existing equipments in sulfur granulation
unit, can produce this production when it is necessary, by minimum cost and
the flexibility of complex sulfur granulation unit. The probable modifications
should be In a way that the primary design conditions be easily accessible.
Bentonit sulfur is a kind of fertilizer which is produced from the mixture of
10% bentonit soil with 90% melted sulfur and finally by using a granulator the
produced paste changes to granule and dried. The technical and economical evaluation
have been on the basis of the request for 100,000 ton per year of mentioned
fertilizer. According to the following reasons the results of this evaluation
shows that performing the project is economical.
1. The net present
value (NPV) is positive.
2.
Internal return rate (IRR) is more higher than 15% which is the
minimum acceptable return rate.
3.
Normal return period of asset is relatively short.
4.
Break-even point is on the third year of operation
and it shows that fixed costs.
On the basis of recent correspondence with soil and water researching
organization of agricultural ministry the consumption of this fertilizer can
be extendable to 200 thousands ton during the next five years. In order to be
followed final report of the project has been sent to development management
of national petrochemical company after the confirmation of the complex management.
