TEHRAN May 12 (Shana): Five members of D-8 group will hold a meeting on boosting cooperation in petrochemical sector on the sidelines of 10th Iran’s Petrochemical Forum in Tehran on 13 and 14 May.
Establishment of a common petrochemical market, building petrochemical plants through joint ventures, holding training courses, and technical and research cooperation are among the topics on the agenda.
The five members attending the D-8 petrochemical meeting include Egypt, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria and Turkey.
Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8) is a group of developing countries with large Muslim populations that have formed to boost economic cooperation among the members. It consists of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
More than 100 guests from 36 foreign companies and more than 750 people from 210 domestic petrochemical companies will take part in 10th Iran’s Petrochemical Forum in Tehran.
3 petrochemical companies as co organizers, 17 companies as sponsors, 5 companies as scientific backers and 30 news media will cooperate in holding the event.
Scientific Committee of the Forum has received more than 80 articles of which 55 ones will be presented to the conference
