By completing the value chain, there will be an increase in production and the gross domestic product. these two factors are the two main indicators of country’s development. Naturally, by making use of every raw material, it is possible to produce a variety of products by activating the downstream industries, which provide the domestic demands and can be exported.

The result will be the expansion of industries in the country and following  that, industrials development.

 

 

A country as vast as Iran is in need of millions of materials, machines,  ect. By just producing a handful of main materials our needs won’t be met. Therefore, the development of mid and downstream industries for transforming raw materials into materials and machines in different fields, including industry, agriculture, health, and construction will alleviate domestic needs, such that in most cases the infrastructural capabilities of the country and the domestic workforce will be made use of. This will results in an increase in domestic production and reduction of imports.

 

 

 

A large number of companies (producers and consumers of energy) and a large portion of hydrocarbon resources exists in Khuzestan province and  has been exploited for many years; there is also an advanced metal and steel industry in the province ; petrochemical , oil and gas industries ; rivers ; multiple power plants ; industrial agriculture and the blessings of ground and water , a lot of experience; fishery and gardening .Overall, the conditions are suitable for the growth of downstream industries ; of course , what completes it all is the young , educated, and faithful workforce in the province.

 

 

The products of Razi Petrochemicals, including sulfuric acid, urea, ammonia, and DAP have an important role in domestic industries and agriculture.

 

 

surely, the development of mid and downstream industries should be contemporary with and following heavy industries not in its stead. We have country with a lot of natural resources; therefore, the utilization of these resources and transforming them into materials that are used by downstream industries is a necessity. Large-Scale job creation, revenue creation, alleviating demands, increasing the export profits of final products, employing a larger workforce are among the advantages of developing downstream industries. In addition to that, in order to build heavy industries, the amount of investment is always high, and the timescale of these projects is long and the return of investment takes more time. it is clear that in downstream it is possible to develop a number of industries with a smaller investment and in a shorter period of time, and in the process to take advantage of the higher added value.

 

 

It should be said that the development of downstream industries and manufacturing of final products instead of selling raw materials leads to the industrial development of the country. thus it is important to use all the domestic capabilities for this matter and to attain the maximum technological capacity.

What needs attention is that our political and industrial competitors do not agree with this, and more importantly compared to selling products, not much added value is created by selling raw and basic materials. We shouldn't forget that nowadays, for every dollar raw materials bought from countries such as ours, the world up to hundreds of dollars for selling final industrial products.

 

 

Downstream industries require the biggest workforce. Sometimes by investing ten times the amount of money in heavy industries compared to downstream industries, it is only possible to create one job. So the key to creatjobs in Iran is the unrestrained development of downstream industries in all fields.
